Visiting may be restricted in some areas. Please check with your nurse or refer to the OVMC Visiting Hours at the end of this booklet. Exceptions may be arranged with your nurse.

Most units provide lounges where, if your condition allows, you and your visitor can enjoy time together.

Please remember patients' bathrooms are reserved for patients and are not to be used by visitors. Public restroom facilities are provided near each nursing unit.

Your family member or friend may wish to stay overnight with you. You may ask the nursing staff if this is possible and they will make arrangements.

Visitor Lodging
You may obtain a visitor room by asking the staff nurse for information, or by going directly to the Admitting Office in the main lobby. You will pay for your room here, and be given a key by the admitting clerk.

Visitor lodging rooms are located in the Nurses' Residence. Clean bed linens and towels are provided with each room. There are shower facilities and restrooms available near each room.

A comfortable lounge area is provided for visitors, near the visitor lodging area. There are also waiting areas on each nursing unit in the hospital. Please remember that smoking is prohibited in the visitor lodging rooms and lounge.
